Chetana’s Institute of Management & Research (CIMR), has established a legacy of excellence in management education over the past three decades. Founded in 1996 by Late. Shri. Madhukarrao D. Chaudhari, the Institute has since then become a leading institution for management education in India. Late Shri. Madhukarrao Chaudhari’s contribution to the Indian political system is noteworthy. With a political career spanning over five decades in the state of Maharashtra, he was in charge of important ministries such as Education, Finance, Revenue, and many more. He was deeply inspired by Mahatma Gandhi, Sane Guruji, Prof. Bang Saheb, and most importantly by his father Dhanaji Chaudhari.

As a former minister and Speaker of the Maharashtra legislative assembly, he was highly respected and admired by many leaders, activists, teachers, and artists from various fields. His work had a significant impact on the state and the country as a whole. He was committed to maintaining the dignity of the parliamentary tradition and took a strong stand on many occasions. Additionally, he was known to mentor young members who were just starting their careers in the assembly.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS

The programs are conducted in Four Semesters, spread over a period of two years. Classes are held for six days a week. The first year covers the foundation courses, which are compulsory and are common for PGDM and PGDM Marketing across all specializations. After the first year, the students must undertake a summer internship for a period of 8-10 weeks in a commercial/social organization, which is facilitated by the Institute. In the second semester, the Institute facilitates ‘Off – Summer Projects’.

⦿ PGDM: The institute offers specializations in Marketing, Finance, HR, Systems, and Operations. Its curriculum ensures the adaptability required to meet the VUCA environment. The curriculum exposes students to real-life situations & sharpens their thinking to generate innovative ideas & solutions and view their discussions/ decisions in the light of various constraints.

⦿ PGDM-Marketing: Specialized Marketing subjects, apart from other important, relevant, and contemporary subjects, are offered to all the students. A cross-sectoral perspective is provided at the very beginning, to facilitate clarity on their choice of super-specialization during the program itself. Hence, no separate specialization is offered to these students.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Bachelors degree with 50% (45% for Reserved Category) marks in aggregate from a recognised University.

Candidates appearing for the Final Year Examination of any Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration can also apply subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria of admission. Candidates Appearing/Appeared and secured non-zero positive score or marks or equivalent score in any one of the equivalent examination such as CET- MAH-MBA/MMS / CAT / MAT / XAT / ATMA/ CMAT valid for the year 2026.

ADMISSION PROCESS

➥ Step-1: Apply Online on CIMR website

Candidates desirous of seeking admission in CIMR Mumbai’s leading private B-school, must apply online and pay the application fees on our website within the specified registration window.

Applicants need to submit the scanned copy of the following documents (self-attested) in PDF format (each document size should not exceed 2 MB)

Academic documents (SSC, HSC, Semester wise / Year wise UG Mark sheets up to semesters cleared) * All merged into one PDF/ Students are required to upload one PDF file (not exceeding 2MB) consisting of mark sheets and passing certificates.
Entrance Exam Mark sheet. CIMR accepts exam scores of CET- MAH-MBA/MMS / CAT / MAT / XAT / ATMA/ CMAT valid for the year 2026 for its MBA admission process.
Work Experience Certificate Or last month salary slip (If more than 12 months Experience)

➥ Step-2: Document Verification

All documents submitted to CIMR for admission will be verified. Only applicants with complete set of the above documents (self-attested) will be eligible for CDPI process for PGDM admissions.

➥ Step-3: Selection of CDPI Slot

Details of the process of booking slot (date and time) for the Online Comprehensive Discussion & Personal Interview will be updated on the website. Applicants will also receive an email on the on the details for the same.

Candidates who remain absent for the CDPI process shall be treated as non-eligible candidates for PGDM admission.

➥ Step-4: Appear for the Online Comprehensive Discussion & Personal Interview

It is mandatory for the eligible candidate to attend the Online Comprehensive Discussion & Personal Interview process conducted by the institute without fail for the admission to the course.

During the Online Comprehensive Discussion & Personal Interview, applicants would be evaluated based on their clarity on Career Goals, Communication skills, Personality & General Bearing, Attitude, General Awareness, Balanced Thoughtful Consideration of Issue and Subject Knowledge.

➥ Step-5: Display of Merit List

On selection in PGDM Admission Process on the basis of the merit list, candidates will be informed by email and their names will be displayed on the Institute’s Notice Board & website.

Shortlisted candidates are required to pay the Programme fee on yearly basis.

➥ Step-6: Become a Chetanaite

A payment link will be sent to all selected student for payment of fees. The payment details will also be published on the website.

Students who have paid fees, are required to attend the counselling session as per the schedule send by email and published on CIMR’s website. During this session, after payment of fees, candidates are required to bring along originals of the documents mentioned above in Step 1 for verification and submission.

General FAQs

1) What are the eligibility criteria for applying for PGDM program at CIMR?

The candidate must have passed a bachelor’s degree examination with minimum of 50% (45% for SC/ST candidates) in graduation from any recognized university under UGC.
Candidate appearing for their final semester of graduation may apply. However on securing Admission he/she must be a graduate with a minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) .
The candidate must have appeared for any of the 6 written entrance exams for MBA viz; CAT, XAT, MHCET, CMAT, ATMA, or MAT.
The institute does not have its own written entrance exam (aptitude test) for PGDM admissions.

2) What programs does CIMR offer & what are the intakes?

CIMR offers the following two programs:

PGDM – 240 Seats
PGDM Marketing – 60 Seats

3) What differentiates the two PGDM Programs offered at CIMR?

The PGDM General program offers five specialized pathways such as Marketing, Finance, HR, Operation & IT. Students can opt for any one specialization based on their career goals.

Yes, the program is approved by AICTE.

Applicants can apply online from 5 March 2026. The last date for application is 30 June, 2026.

9) How can I select my Online Comprehensive Discussion & Personal Interview date?

You need to apply for the program online. Upon successful payment of PGDM application fee, and once you fill up your profile details completely, you can select the date & time slots at your convenience.

10) Can the Online Comprehensive Discussion & Personal Interview date be changed?

No, the CDPI date once chosen cannot be changed. (However, if it is clashing with your final year Graduation exam, then contact the admission office with concerned documents as a proof of final exams. No other personal reasons will be entertained).

11) What is the admission procedure?

Selection will be based purely on merit, which will be evaluated out of 200 marks as below:
